Iran Visa on Arrival

It is possible to directly obtain your visa at one of Iran’s airports without the need to visit the consulate.

If your time to obtain a visa is short and you have the option to get an Iran airport visa, we recommend that you choose one of Iran’s international airports as the location to obtain your visa when completing the visa application form.

However, the cost of obtaining a visa at the airport is slightly higher than obtaining a visa at the consulate, and you may experience some delays at the airport.

Since foreign bank cards are not usable in Iran, it is necessary for travelers to have cash in one of the valid foreign currencies such as US Dollars, Euros, Pounds, UAE Dirhams, or Swiss Francs to pay for visa-related expenses.

All nationals except those from the US, UK, Canada, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Jordan, Colombia, and Somalia can choose one of the country’s international airports as the location to obtain their visas.

After receiving the visa grant notice, you have 60 days to obtain your visa from one of Iran’s consulates in your home country. Iran visa is valid for up to 3 months from the date of issuance, which allows you to enter Iran at any time within this period, but only once.

Visitors to Iran are typically allowed to stay in the country for a period of up to 30 days after their initial entry. However, with permission from the Foreign Nationals Police, this period can be extended up to 60 days, and in some special cases, up to 90 days.

Cost of Iran Visa

The cost of an Iran visa varies depending on the type of visa, the traveler’s nationality, and the location where the visa is obtained. Typically, medical visas are slightly cheaper than tourist visas.
